First 5 Fox Valley knows the importance of engaging community partners in large scale collaborative and sustainable ventures.
Working to avoid silos and align parallel work, First 5 Fox Valley shares evidence-based practice and data and seeks every opportunity to understand and address gaps in services ensuring that children in the tri-county area are safe, healthy, and able to reach their full potential. It became evident that the community needed a model that could provide a system of connectedness to services with a lens on equity, access, solution, and impact. Help Me Grow -Fox Valley was developed.
First Five Fox Valley convened a community visioning summit in 2019, bringing together a unique set of collaborators and decision-makers engaged as equal partners in advancing early childhood. At the summit, relationships were forged. A new name was coined and the First 5 Fox Valley mission statement: To cultivate a community that empowers and supports every family to build a solid foundation for children in their first five years, was established. The First 5 Fox Valley cross-sector collaborative is organized with key partners representing: families, school districts, health care, colleges and universities, employers, philanthropy, faith and service organizations, libraries and the YMCA, United Way, and Rotary International across Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago counties.
